So let me get this straight. The security that is supposed to be checking for terrorists/suspicious vehicles at a high profile target are using their time and resources to harass people for traffic technicalities instead?
I'm not saying that not having the plate isn't illegal (and if you get a ticket for it, it's your own fault), but when resources are finite, there has to be better prioritizing than this, unless New York City really has degenerated to the point that the ticket revenue is a bigger concern to them than the threat of terrorism.
