I hate being a brand slave, but this is truth. The only brand I can stand for a reasonable amount of time is Oakley. Just bought my second pair, the first one lasted me 6 years!

Surprisingly, that would cost the manufacturer
more. The more standard parts/options you have, the less processes you have to train and provide for on the line. And, at least in the 4th gens, the manual doors weighed MORE than the power doors. It's really not worth it to strip it down that much.
There are a ton of "it would be nice" options, but the only one I'd say NEEDS to be addressed (and I'm shocked it hasn't been mentioned) are adjustable seatbelts. There are times I simply can't drive the car because I feel like it's trying to choke me, and I have a bit of a phobia about things being around/on my neck.
