Yeah, I just picked up a winter beater. You will start to notice once it gets really cold out that it just isn't safe to drive these when it's below freezing and there is any precipitation at all. They really do turn into hockey pucks. People have said that winter tires completely solves the issue but for a couple hundred more I was able to pick up another car that I drive when the weather is bad.
