Leaving SD between 03:00 - 03:30 pm is looking more likely for us too...if we use the car pool lane(s) on the way up, that might help some (though, between, what, Encinitas and San Clemente, we'll have to do the "caravan weave"...

We'll be leaving from Poway / Scripps Ranch off I-15...we can take 56 W and meet up on I-5 N around Del Mar Heights...are you coming up I-5 from San Diego?
