An almost $2K difference.

ford also stuck with 4 cylinder availabilty much longer than Camaro did, making the entry level models even cheaper.

The "one large vehicle" comment was directed toward the Chally not the Mustang.
I see what you were talking about, however I was talking about the 1990s and above. I have not looked at the price difference of the 80s models, and I somewhat do not see how something that took place some 30 years ago applies to todays market.

For the 1990s the price between the Mustang and Camaro have been pretty much in line with eachother as far as MSRP goes. For example the 1995 Ford Mustang had a price range of $14,530-$25,605 while the 1995 Chevy Camaro had a price range of $14,495-$23,195.
