I AM upset about the way they have handled the pre-order program.
1.) Guess what? If the V8 models are really this constrained, DEALERS ARE GOING TO MARK THE FIRST ONES UP. You may have a deposit in with them for MSRP or better, but that doesn't mean that contractually, you going to get the first few that come in. You are going to wait.
Apparently, the pre-order program really meant nothing. If dealers don't know what the mix of V6 versus V8's was on the initial allocation, they over ordered V8's and the orders are not going to line up. Some people are going to wait for a long time.
2.) Vechicle purchases are a major financial decision, and they need to be timed to fit into peoples schedules. Right now, we have no idea when to expect a vechicle. After having orders for 4 months, GM should be able to provide dealers with an estimated production date, or an estimated production month. Then people would be able to decide if they want to keep the pre-oder in place. I don't mind waiting, but I want to know when to expect my car.

Correct, get ready it is going to get thick quick! Good luck to you all on recieving your SS in a timely manner the way you want it, If the constraint is bad enough no dealership is gion to except a discount price, even MSRP. God I am pissed.
