As for what you can do, it's up to you. I also live in Cali, and wasn't about to just do a mufler-delete. I'd rather not attract more attention from the police than I already do. But pretty much any aftermarket will do what you are looking for, when you got the cash.

As of right now, I'm leaning toward the Cherry Bomb. Seems to give the car a good note without hushing it too much. And it's also on the lower end of the spectrum costwise.The nice thing about the muff delete is it's CHEAP. Might try it out for awhile, and if it's not workin for me after a month or so, I can add a cat-back and won't feel like I wasted money.
