A long time ago I learned to let go, meaning I've had plenty of cars I would have liked to keep, but they needed to go for various reasons. One of my old 280-Zs even helped with a down payment on my first house in '82.
I really wish I could have kept some, but it usually worked out that I couldn't keep any of my old cars or motorcycles for one reason or another.
Just last November I sold my beloved antique sports car, an Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite. That was really hard to do, but my 2010 Camaro purchase was in the planning stages. The money for the car, and the garage space was needed. I don't regret it, as I love to spend as much free time as I can with the Camaro, it's just a great car.
If you can afford to keep the Olds, then do it. For me, I guess it's like going on to the next car adventure! Here's a shot of my Bugeye (with my now 19 yr old son ).
