Question Road Noise?

Maybe theres a thread on this somewhere, but after searching I cound't find it, so if this is redundant please forgive me.

I'm just curious... How do you find the road noise level in your Camaro? I've had mine for about a month now, and here's what I'm talking about.

At highway speeds on newly laid pavement my Camaro is relatively quiet. But get on older pavement with rougher surface and the noise level becomes quite annoying. It's noisy enough that carying on a conversation in the car becomes difficult, the body vibration causes the HUD to vibrate. I have two other cars, and old 73 Vette and a 2004 Colorado pickup, neither of them is as bad as the Camaro. In fact the pickup is so quiet on any road surface that people riding with me have compared it to a Cadilac. Even the 37 year-old Vette has less road noise than my 2011 Camaro.

Now I know I bought a sports car, but it's a 2LT and I would have thought and hoped that road surface isolation technology might have improved by the second decade of the 21st century. Should I blame those 20" tires or should I blame GM, or do I just have a Camaro that's an anomily?
