It sounds like with the 2.75" pulley it built up so much pressure that forced the lid to push up and brake around the bolts. Edelbrock was swift with their replacement of the part, yeah? This is the first I've heard of somebody having to use their Edelbrock warranty for this system, but in the past they've always been very very expedient about that process.
