From my perspective (for what it's worth) being a guy that has owned 5 previous V8 Camaros (my 2011 being my 7th Camaro and my very 1st V6 purchase), I've always been (like many of us here on the Camaro5 Forums it seems) sworn to the belief that any "V6 Camaro is a waste of a production number" kind of guy. UNTIL NOW. I'm a Fleet Manager at a Chevy dealership here in Las Vegas and have sold dozens of the new (V6 & V8) Camaros and have had the Priveledge driven every configuration available time and time again (on a daily basis). I had sold my 2002 SS SLP M6 about 2 years ago vowing to buy a 2010/2011 2SS/RS come 'hell or highwater' when they arrived at my dealership and turning my nose up at even the mere suggestion of a V6 purchase. "A V6? Bwahahahaha!". What's that old saying? "Never say Never?"

Well, after driving and selling the V6's I stood there at the literal "Camaro Crossroads" surprised and shocked as I had fallen in love w/the overall feel of the new Camaro (V6 & V8) and loved the price point of the V6 enough to investigate more and eventually end up w/the V6 configuration last month. Don't get me wrong, the new SS is an animal....but so is the new V6 in it's own right. The V6 IS 'hands down' a musclecar. Is the SS more of a musclecar? Of course, in regards to horsepower...no denying. But to say that the V6 at a stock 312HP should be disregarded as a "true Camaro" makes me smile now. I'm just as proud of my V6 as I would have been if I had decided on the V8. I agree with what was posted earlier that it's up to the Camaro owner which configuration they choose. What's important is...that they own a "Camaro" folks! Don't forget....we are all in this together!
