He could have been half throttle to get up the hill, the auto downshifted unexpectedly and due to the wet roads he went sideways. Its happened to me plenty of times.
The people camping the corners with cameras are a distraction and I am sure there have been more incidents.

Listen to the video, he's accelerating out of the corner-there is no downshift. And, OMG, the road was NOT wet-watch the video and listen to the tires screeching!
