Point is simply this, The Government will see more profit from your car than the dealer will.

90% of people don't want to let or care if a dealer makes $100

99% of all consumers don't give a rats that a salesperson may only sell 10 cars a month at $100 per car because of the consumer mentality of "Invoice" or better.

99% of consumers don't care if a dealership stays open for the next 60 days

89% of consumers will ditch their previous salesperson over $200 on the next purchase without a second thought.

99.9% of consumers will tip a hair stylist $10 or so but wouldn't give their saleperson a cupon for a free whopper.
