But I did wonder how the OU fans felt about them conceding defeat with over two minutes left in the game down 9 pts. It seems to me that at that point, the ranking and perception of the school became more important than getting a win.

I understand why he did it, but what I don't understand is why he said anything about it.
His reasoning was that he thinks a 1 loss team will make into the BSCCG, becuase other teams will fall. His arguement is going to be , if all goes right, that Alabama lost to South Carolina by 14, Oklahoma only lost by 9 an I beleive tha Missouri was ranked higher at the time than South Carolina....
Last week Auburn beat LSU by 7 points, in the late minutes of the game Auburn had the ball on the 5 yd line and surely could have scored to increase the margin to 14, but chose to kneel down, class act.
Maybe because Missouri had not beaten Oklahoma they would have tried to score again but I really don't doubt it. I think they were just happy to win as they should be. They actually gave it to them pretty good, but you know what, so what if Missouri would have scored again, it's not like Oklahoma hadn't spanked people alot worse than 14 points.
I just think it was chessy but the coach.
