If you want inexpensive, moddable and fast the LT1 (1993-1997) is the best choice, and probably the best looking in the 1990s. If you want reliable and fast, but more expensive you go with the 1998-2002 Camaro SS.
If you don't really care about fast, and you just want a decent looking car get the 1990-1992 car, preferably the IROC with the 350cid engine.
I prefer the LT1 car myself. Consider the Pontiac Firebird also. Great deals if you know how to fix cars up.
