I bought a 1:18 diecast in silver. When I started unscrewing the parts I was amazed at how far it broke down. I have taped off the stripes on the hood (since my car is IBM with silver stripes) and trunk and have taped off the door interior so far.

I bought some of the IBM touch up spray paint from the chevy service counter.
I'll probably fine sand the surface before painting. I'm wondering if this is the best paint for it and if I should clear it after.

For anyone going to do this I would suggest getting the black car so spots that you mess up taping arn't as noticable.

Any tips would help.
