I actually drove a 1SS/RS A6 yesterday just to see how it felt. I was surprised to find that I did not get blown away. First of all, it was very quiet compared to my car due to the stock exhaust (Flowmasters are great on the V6 by the way). Now, don't get me wrong, I know that car is much faster than mine, but it did not seem to be that different during normal driving. I'm sure it would be different at WOT, but I don't go WOT very much. Bottom line, I didn't feel like the the engine upgrade alone was worth the money ($10K or more over what my car is worth now). So, I'm going to wait until the 12's come out and see how I feel about it. Nothing really to lose. If the 12's are nothing special, I should be able to pick up a remaining 11 for a much better price.
