Funny / sad thing here is the inference that these changes are intended for European market only - so thats ok then....

There is no reason on earth why Europeans would go for such silly looking tail end lights or somehow would want the car to look different from US versions

There may be reasons in terms of legal requirements for things like mirror sizes etc - which will be something that GM cant do anything about - but main thing is that any changes should have same thought/care applied as to what was clearly so well thought out on the initial design.

The other good aspect of this - and this forum in general is that we KNOW that GM folks read it - hence although folks may seem to be over-reacting a wee bit - I think this is a case of folks wanting to make sure they give feedback
