Hell I can count 5 different kills were the MUCH MUCH faster car had a driver that was an idiot and lost. But that does NOT mean my car is faster or can beat them on a regular basis.
1. C6 Z06 running low 13s at BMP last year. I yanked his azz out of the hole due to him spinning, then like an idiot he never lifted off of the gas and ran a HIGH 13!! lol!
Umm with 345 rears I doubt he was spinning. And I doubt your cobalt clone could hang with a z06.
2. 2 different 03/04 cobras with Kenne Bell superchargers both putting down around 550-600 rwhp. Guess what they both ran? 15+ to my 13.1.
15 second KB cobras? Maybe if their supercharger belts were removed before the race. Not a chance
3. BUTCHERED a GT500 on 3 different occasions with nothing more than a 50 shot at the track. Again moron driver in the GT500 on drag radials. The driver was hotlapping his GT500, then spinning hard out of the hole. Once he got traction he'd very slowly fall behind.
Come try my KB GT500. Ill hot lap it all night and destroy your jelly bean car. And pulling away AFTER he hooked? Not happening. The gt500 walks with any traction
Do any of those situations mean that I can beat any of those cars on a regular basis with even an "ok" driver? Hell no! Did I whoop their ass by merely out driving them? Yup and that's exactly what happened with the RT poster - ran into some damn poorly driven GTOs.
Heck the last time I was at the track I was watching a 06 GTO turn in 14.0-14.1 when I ran everything from 12.89-13.19 in +2000DA conditions at BMP
