I don't care which car is faster. It's all about how a car makes you feel...99% of us are never going to road race it anyway. If you really need to be a carlength faster than another car at a stoplight, you have serious issues...

I have been considering a new Camaro or 370z so this post is relevant to me. I drive a Subaru WRX (modded to run 13s and a 4.0 0-60...I don't dragrace so I'll never find out for sure), and recently sold my ML-55 AMG (380lb-ft of torque and can spin all 4-wheels with 285/50/18 tires). If GM was in a better financial position there's a good chance I would pick up the Camaro...it's just hard to buy from a company that's bleeding millions daily with hopes that a plug in hybrid costing more than 2x the price of the new Honda Insight will save them...

I test drove the 370z for a good 15-20minutes today. The rev-match system in the 6MT is amazing. I thought I would hate it because I am so used to rev-matching my shifts, but I can't complain because this system is much faster than my feet will ever be. The interior materials are very good, fit and finish is excellent, but the bottom line: I didn't enjoy driving the car. The motor really opens up later in the rpms and is quite loud, but doesn't really have a distinctive exhaust note; more of an annoying drone. The clutch pedal was so light I couldn't feel it engage at all. Sure it handles well, but I didn't really care. I just couldn't get myself to enjoy the car.

I guess I'll drive the Camaro when it's available...but I won't buy unless GM is able to turn things around...
