As for the 5.5L V8, there is a displacement limit in AMLS racing. That is the only reason why they are using 5.5L engines, not because its going to be the standard displacement for the next generation engines. In the past, they were using E85 fuelled 6.0L LS7's in their car, while the actual LS7 is 7.0L unit that only takes dino juice. Don't base anything of what you see in the C6.R's. There could be 5.5L engines in the GM lineup, or they could keep the same displacement as they have today, or they might go more traditional and bring back 5.3L and 5.7L engines for cars. But of all the choices, a 5.5L engine is probably the least likely to happen.

If the Transverse Leafs are lighter and as long as the springs are composite, I would like to see that system in the Z28.
I was under the impression that the standard displacement for the C7 was the 5.5 and was being reverse engineered from the C6 in ALMS. I would still like to see the raised cam design, is there any specs on the 5.5R out yet? I would like to see some of the internal measurements.
