It'll be hopeless in Buffalo in the summer tires it comes with, but it should drive just fine with winter tires. The electronics aids will see to that. However, as an enthusiast I beg you to never plan on exposing it to salt. Buy a beater or keep your current car. Besides, all told the beater will cost about the same as winter wheels and tires for the Z28. And it will be less to insure for those ~4 months or so.
