i think a few factor might come into play. first being what you said the tubing from box to throttle boddy. second would be that the CAI cold air kit is ceramic coated, which will help keep iat's down. third i also think the fact that the CAI cold air kit's box is insulate helps as well. fourth would be the filter used for each system, the CAI use a very large filter compared to the adm. both systems are well designed sytems, and in my opinion you can't go wrong with either system.
