Sorry for attempting to paraphrase, but this has been discussed in several threads on here. Hopefully, they will be able to resolve these differences and be back together in 2012. Both the president of the MCC and at least one officer of Carlisle Events are members here. Maybe they will see this thread and post some more light into the subject.

Before camaro nationals at carlisle we had a camaro national show run for years by the International Camaro Club (ICC). they would hold the show the same weekend every year but the hotel would change every year. Then when they went away for what I think was 1 or 2 years some of those members got together and formed American Camaro assoc. That was when it started at Carlisle (1999). They were there for quite a few years before carlisle productions wanted to add GM nationals. So the camaro nationals have been around since I think 1990 or earlier.
