I'm not so sure about that. One of my stock caps went missing so I thought I'd try to find some chrome ones to replace all 4. I just bought some cheap ones from Checker (now O'Reilly) and put them on all 4 stems. I didn't get any errors or messages from the TPMS so I doubt stories about metal caps blocking ths signals are true. The chrome ones I bought were a little short and didn't cover all the brass in the threaded stem, so I took them off and replaced with my 3 remaining original black caps. Would like to find another stock cap, anyone have an extra they can send me?
