If staying with a single bolt cam and cam gear no change needed. However, if you are going with a 3 bolt cam dump the tensioner and use the GM dampner. Just like on the Vette ZR-1 that uses a 3 bolt cam. You can reuse the chain. Go to the Lingenfelter site and you will see what they sell and recommend and install in all their motors using 3 bolt cams. Many shops do not do this because of added labor to lower pan to change out the tensioner to the dampner. Do not cut any corners, do what GM does.
