Yesterday my son took delivery of a factory ordered 2011 1SS/RS/6M PGFB6K. Besides the excellent deal he got ($100 over invoice), the dealer did not drill holes to mount the front license plate bracket. Very classy for the dealer to think of that.
My son graciously let me drive the car for awhile. Nice tight ride and handling. The blind spots and visibility out are not as bad as I had anticipated. Mirrors and situational awareness is key for survival. Effortless power with economy. I am envious especially since he spent more on this car than his mom and I ever did on any car.
Biggest surprise was discovering the location of the battery and the electric "spare tire".
Now it's on to reading the owners manual to find out how XM/Onstar/DIC operates.
Looks like a week of rain coming for NorCal, regrettably it's going to get dirty right away.
