FYI;
My son gave me a call on Sunday and says dad the Camaro is making a knocking noise I replied I will be there in a couple of minutes. I got to his house and asked him to start the car.
Right away I hear a small knock tell him to rev it up a bit and then I said turn it off. I am not a certified mechanic but I think I know what a Rod knock sounds like. So this morning I drop off the car at the dealer.
The dealer calls me at 2:00pm and says the motor needs to be replaced and hopes it will be done by next Thursday. I can’t believe this happen to my son on his first new car and it only has 4700 miles on it.
However it looks like the dealer and GM is stepping up to the plate and thank god they didn’t recommend rebuilding it.
