I did Hotchkis 1" drop springs and sways at the same time on a 2LTRS. The drop in front is about 1-1/8" and back about 1-5/16" as our cars are higher in the back then the SS. Ride is more firm and as with all drop springs I have used and you will get a more abrupt reaction or hit on all bumps, can feel like you are moving up and down more in the car when roads aren't smooth. Stock v6 shocks cushin hits very well and control the spring action also very well but on extreme concrete freeway conditions where road sections not flat anymore the back doesn't feel controlled as well, like there is to soft a shock, which is probably the case but at least it isn't bone jarring stiff like it can be with after market shocks! Driveways you can scrape the front air dam but thats all, no paint contact. If you pull over a parking bumper, I guess its called, the air dam takes the hit again but not the paint but depends so stay back from these when parking.Speed bumps take it easy as the hit will be stiff(normal on drop springs).
For handling I like them and my combo sure makes the car feel 300 lbs lighter and much more fun! Understeer is reduced and the car corners flat and responds to turns very quickly. You can take corners faster and that wallowing body roll is gone.If you hit a good dip at speed the springs compress and react, no bottoming out so shocks wont be hurt and the car stays flat and stable.
All in all I like it, you do have trade offs but you have to really see what you want and what you can live with.
