Perhaps the original poster could describe what a "Bumpy" ride feels like in other terms or more descriptive language. Compare that to something perhaps that would be considered a "normal" ride or a "non bumpy" ride, for some perspective.
After that, then the answers could be more specific to the issue.

There's bumpy, and then there's BUMPY. Bumpy is how the ride fills when the tires are over feeled and you're on a regular road. BUMPY is how the ride fills when the wife slams inta' the curb or drops hard down inta' a foot deep pothole.
