I like to think of myself as a car guy. I'm just not that much of a mechanical guy. However in an effort to save money and become more one with my car I think I should change my own oil. I've only done it one time before and that was 10 years ago or beter on an old, old GMC pickup I used to have.

So my question is, does anyone have helpful hints:
1 How much oil for the V6 engine?
2 What type of oil to use?
3 Best filter to use?
4 What do I do with old oil?
5 Synthetic or not?
6 How many miles should I wait?
7 Is there a thread on here that'll answer all these questions?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
