My first car was a 1970 Chevelle. At seventeen, I bought the car from a friend for $100. It had a 307 with a Turbo 350 transmission, the heads and manifold had been removed for sometime. The car sat in the backyard of my parent’s house until I was 21. After leaving school my father and I built a 350 c.i. small block and attached it to a Super T-10 and 12-bolt posi rear out of a 67 Chevelle. It was my daily driver until the first snow fall. So I got an ’86 Camaro, not a great choice for getting to work in the snow but I survived.
