Wow, magnets.....? I have a feeling you will be getting a new front plate sometime down the road, no pun intended (fine, maybe it was a little intentional).

My original plan was to zip tie the plate mount to the lower grill like I'd seen done on other cars. Unfortunately the V8 has a larger grill than my V6 so that didn't work (the top of the mount kinda flopped downward). So I just softened up the backside of the plate to avoid scratching and zip tied it directly into the lower grill without the mount (careful not to overtighten the zip ties and risk cracking the plastic). The plate is off-center (since the car comes to a point) and always ends up being a bit crooked but having a plate on the front of the car looks stupid anyway, so a crooked, off-center plate doesn't make much of a difference.

As for filling in the holes in the future if I move to a 1 plate state? Yeah, I'd just rather not have the holes in the first place than try to fill in and paint match....... Not an option.
