I have a buddy who obviously will go nameless, who (with 2 other guys) worked as a network admin and was reponsible for keeping a college going. They had things going so smoothly, the college dean decided he was going to cut costs by letting one of them go. When they found out (I wonder how an admin would find out
) they decided to drop the deans network account one night after he left.
The next morning he came in and when he tried to log in, his account was not working. He calls them up and they spend the whole day messing around with his PC and calling from their desks asking him to re-install this and that. Basically had him going for most of the day. At the end of it, he said "good thing we have you 3 guys here" and he didn't lay any of them off.
