TPMS Sensors---Do They Need To Be Activated?
I was at the Chevy Dealer today picking up some parts, and got into a discussion with the manager about the OEM TPMS sensors. He was saying that it costs $70 per wheel to "activate" the sensors in a wheel. Is this right? Do the sensors have to be activated? Meaning, if I buy a set of wheels with OEM TPMS sensors...does the learn horn honk process synch the sensors with the car or is there really some passive/active process that is needed?
I hate these damn things....
