Well, it started with the first prototype in 2006 - I knew I loved the styling. When the car finally came out in late 2009, I went down and drove one of the first V6 cars to hit Seattle's East side. I was impressed, but not at $32k.
I thought on it for a while, and ultimately decided against it, knowing I should really go with the SS when I was ready. I had owned plenty of V6 Camaros in the past, but the only Camaro I really had fun with was my 2000 Z28.
One day I got curious and drove a 2010 SS. It was black, with a 6-speed. I was smitten. I spent a lot of time with it and recognized how much I truly do love the styling. It sounded right. Felt right. Looked right. But, I said no that day because I wanted the car to be a good deal and wanted to research as to set up my buy to be 'the perfect storm.' But I knew the car had to be an SS, and that it had to be a manual.
A few months later, I pulled the trigger on my white 2011 SS.
