I agree DrgnI, that's why I seperated that list... but just so people know where I am pulling this stuff from:

-The Camaro will use the GM 6L80E Automatic 6 speed transmission (same as in Holden Commodore & G8) for the V8

I believe this because GM websites list this as the matching tranny to the L76, and other Hi-Po engines (including the LS3 in the vette)

-The Camaro will use the Tremec T56 Manual for the V8 (G8)

I believe this because this is listed as the heavy duty tranny on GM's website, and is also in the vette as the manual, though they could use the TR-6060

-The Camaro will use the Aisin AY6 Manual for the V6 (Caddy)

I believe this because it is the matching tranny to the V6 engines, and it would allow them to use the same parts (bellhousing, etc)

-The Camaro will use the 362hp/391lbft L76 as the base V8 (same as G8)

I think this is likely because GM doesn't have any other 'base' V8's that make any sense... of course they could use something else that is new, but that's beyond me.

-The Camaro will use the 2 engines from the Cadillac CTS as the two V6's (268hp/304hp DI)

These are GM's newest and most appropriate engines for this application, but other than GM's engine list, and some other various internet speculation, I have no better source.

-The Camaro will feature AFM (G8)

GM has said this out loud.

-The Camaro gets disk brakes with ventilated discs all around. Two-pot calipers squeeze the front, with single-piston pinchers in back. (Holden Commodore SS)

THis is from the edmunds.com review of the Australian Holden Commodore SS. I assumed that these would carry over into the Camaro (though it may only be on our Z28 with the base car getting lesser brakes all around).

-The Camaro will feature stability control as an option (G8 and Holden)

I see this as a cost saving measure, and GM seems to do this now, where the 'bottom of the barrel' cars get DSM as an option.
