After going through all of that, I expect that by 2011 there will be a Gen 5 small block, 5.7L 400 hp DI AFM, possibly with VVT as well. This would give it probably 31-32 mpg highway. That would be base V8. Top V8 would be 6.2L with DI AFM rated at 475 hp .
