Right, I know. But if you have to lose weight quickly and you don't mind a little muscle loss then you can get a steady diet routine after you lose the initial. It was depressing losing the muscle mass but I lost so much when I injured my shoulders that I don't really even care any more. I've lost almost all of mine over the years. I haven't picked up any iron since 1999.
No, you don't want to live on a crash diet but you can lose the weight and then maintain at a healthy mix of diet and exersise.
