There are way more better v8 platform than a camaro, maybe I would have pre ordered a boss 302 if I wanted a v8 that bad. Some of us are not as rich or retired like some of you v8 owners, in a real world situation I have to think about gas, insurance, and payments along with real family issues. I simply just wish that our new v6 can get some tuners love as the demand is there, whoever said that I want to go as fast as a SS? but I dont want it to be limited to only intake and exhaust and I think alot of us v6'ers are getting tired of waiting and waiting. So this has nothing to do with a v8 discussion period.
Right now we are looking at headers, CAI and exhaust for simple bolt ons; a full complement may yeld 20-25 RWHP. BMWDON is working on porting the heads and that may be promising. CAMs may be an option, but with four it will be petty expensive. All I can say is set a goal and figure out how to achieve it. If you want power comparable to an LS3 then go turbo, but you will be looking at about the same price difference as getting the SS except for gas, insurance, etc. If you are looking at maybe 300 RWHP then consider being a leader and look into getting CAMs or wait to see what Don's project yeilds. If you want a quick hit for little money on an as-need basis, try nitrous.

We can sit around and bitch about not much being available, or we can make stuff happen. I know that several traditional V8 shops are watching our threads, but if they see lot's of V6 guys just complaining or not buying what is available, they aren't going to jump in. That would be a bad business decision on their part. Heck, just look at what happened to the V6 wishlist thread that was started a while back...it turned into a bitch session about a timing chain issue that probably affect very few V6 owners. I know that this sounds like I'm up on a soapbox, but sometimes I wonder if we aren't part of the problem...

Okay, I'm done.
