Almost all new phones have built in turn by turn nav system. Also depending on your cell phone company, it costs a pretty penny to use. I've had my phone since '05 and it has turn by turn nav but to use requires another plan that is $20 a month for the basic plan.
Personally I would go buy a Tom-Tom for $200 and never have to worry about making a monthly payment and it would pay for itself after 10 months.
