This is not true. I have seen it MANY times in GTO's and other IRS cars that were only 12 sec cars. I actually have a video of a VERY experienced Fbody racer( literally hundreds of passes in 10 to 12 sec cars) driving a GTO with slicks and crossing the center line at valdosta.
