A quality set of lowering springs will lower your car and contribute to improved handling. If you have any mechanical ability you can probably install lowering springs but you will need an alignment afterward. Depending on your budget I would look at either BMR 1 inch springs or Pfadt 1.25 inch springs. Both will give you the stance and handling you are after without impacting ride quality too much.
