So true....I work in healthcare and the amount of money spent for free healthcare is ridiculous. There was over 1 million spent last year just in transportation for recipients to methadone clinics. Yes free insurance that will provide a round trip taxi to your medical appointment, no matter how many miles away, when there is a transit system in their area. Don't want to pay for your kid's tylenol, call the doctor and have them write a prescription, now its covered by MassHealth. Or the exceptional program of section 8, where they will pay your rent and send you a check each month to pay your utilities. This is on top of the cash and foodstamps they get each month. 90 % of patients here with MassHealth pull into the parking lot in brand new vehicles. Check out the parking lot of the local DTA (welfare) office.
This is why we pay such ridiculous amounts in taxes.
Next year the tax will be around $300.
2013 = $175
2014 = $75
And it will never go any lower than $75 for the life of the car.
