Nothing wrong with you going to your dealer to get that info.
HOWEVER -- ANOTHER dealer giving you that info. is not kosher. Further, the dealer was putting info. on there that could be misconstrued -- not to mention that it's proprietary.
If you want to know your status, YOUR dealer can provide that to you.
