Cannot be done.
A couple of issues: We would have to flush out an entire paint line - (not easy) -- and then re-validate the paint - remember, there are several paint surfaces of different materials - you can't just 'start up' the line again. For instance - when we dropped Silver in the 2001 model year and brought it back for 2002 - we could not build silver cars for about 5 weeks due to mis-matched paint......
Second: The supplier of the fascias and such would have to re-tool to paint them ABM - (....more info. on THAT at
www.ain'tgonnahappen.com....)
And -- to the person who said ABM and Jetstream aren't the same - you are partially correct........however, our friend Jerry Noonan had his Jetstream Blue Berger SS at the Gathering in Atlanta last year - and when you put it RIGHT NEXT to an ABM car - there was a decided difference -but when you put another Camaro between them - hardly any difference........
Yes -it would be great if we could build a 'special run' - but when we do - it's $$$$$$$$$$$$ as evidenced by the Neiman-Marcus Convertibles..........
You'd be better off having a quality bodyshop paint your Camaro in the color you desire. (.........$$$$.......)
