Not 100% positive but I am fairly sure the output shaft would have been an upgrade inside the new trans. My guess is that if the notchy shift and grinding issue are gone that the output shaft will be good as well. Keep us posted. If you still feel the trans is a tad notchy that might not be too bad a thing because in talking to friends with Vettes who have the tremec, they say it is the nature of the trans. I can live with a bit of that but the grinding is BS from the get go. If you end up going back to the dealer anytime soon you might want to ask them what they think about the use of Royal Purple.
