The summer tires are really that, so you'll need another set of at least the all-season radials.
I love having both sets (black and aluminum) because as soon as I get sick of one set, the other bolts on.
Now if you're in NYC (depending on whether you have the space in Queens or Bklyn) you may not have anywhere to store another set of wheels.
I used to live in Park Slope and paid $400 a month for parking.

leave the stock rims alone and buy some black rims when you have the money to do so.
get some all season or winter tires for the stock rims and ride them in the fall/winter. throw the black rims on (if you decide to purchase some) during the spring and summer.
thats my future plan, i like the factory rims for now.
