It does get better when it's warm, but still does it intermittently. When the transmission fluid is cold it grinds like that 100% of the time. There is no way anyone in their right mind would say it's "Operating as Designed". Maybe "Malfunctioning as Designed"... Since the service manager apologized for not looking into it thoroughly last time, I have confidence that when they actually test drive the car Monday morning, they will choose to fix the problem. The tech actually asked me to bring it in the morning specifically, so he could make sure the grinding occurred. And in case they blow me off, the problem has been escalated to the District Rep. She will be calling me on Tuesday to find out what happened at the dealership.
