V6 cars today have *plenty* of oomph. I remember Car & Driver fawning all over the Ford Taurus SHO and the Dodge Spirit R/T back around 1990 as "very fast" cars. These were sedans with engines around 220hp. That sounded huge to me at the time, driving a 58hp Toyota Corolla.
We have it pretty good right now. Just give CAFE a few more years to screw it up again....
